This year’s Youth 20 Dialogue starts on the 2nd of June 2017 in Berlin with a reception in the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth where the youth summit will be officially opened by Federal Minister Manuela Schwesig. After a joint photo session with the Federal Minister at The Brandenburg Gate, the work phase will begin at the conference venue on the outskirts of Berlin.

The work phase includes a review of the G20 topics in an open space, the elaboration of the main positions in workgroups, dialogue with experts, and the finalisation of the position papers. The young participants will be coached in presentation and public speaking skills in preparation for officially presenting their position papers.

On the 7th of June 2017, the participants of Youth 20 Dialogue will present the results of their work to Chancellor Angela Merkel and to Federal Minister Manuela Schwesig and will hand over the position papers to them.

On the 8th of June 2017, Secretary of State Dr. Ralf Kleindiek will give the official farewell address to the young participants.
